Reported rate ranges
Industry rate guides put an Instagram Reel from a nano creator (1K–10K) at roughly ₹300–5,000, and a post from a creator around 50,000 followers at ₹15,000–40,000, with finance and technology niches commanding several times the rates of entertainment. Many nano creators work on barter. These are asking prices, not averages, and vary by city and platform. Sources are listed on our creator income chapter.
What actually drives cost
- Tier — followers and engagement; small tiers cost less and often engage more.
- Niche — audiences worth more to advertisers cost more (finance, tech, B2B).
- Deliverables — a Reel, a story set, a long YouTube review, usage rights for ads.
- Geography and language — tier-2/3 and vernacular creators are reported to be cheaper per engagement than metro English.
- Overheads — agency margins and manual coordination, which a platform removes.
Paying for outcomes
On Oye, campaigns start from a published ₹3,000 and scale with creators and deliverables; every post can carry a code, so cost is read per order, per install or per footfall rather than per post. Weekly tracking moves budget to what converts. See Billing Terms and For Brands.
