Data Deletion Instructions

How to have your Oye Creators data deleted — including data received from Instagram and Facebook — and what happens after you ask.

1. Three ways to request deletion

Option A — in the Oye Creators app

Open Settings → Account → Delete my data. Choose whether to delete only connected-platform data (Instagram/Facebook) or your whole account. Confirm with the code sent to your registered email or phone.

Option B — remove the app from Instagram or Facebook

In Instagram: Settings → Website permissions (Apps and websites) → Oye Creators → Remove. In Facebook: Settings → Apps and websites → Oye Creators → Remove. Meta sends us a deletion request and we delete the data we received from the platform for your account. We provide the deletion callback Meta requires for this in our app configuration.

Option C — email us

Write to Support@ttlmedia.in with the subject Data deletion request, from the email registered on your account, including your Instagram username. We may ask you to confirm ownership before proceeding.

2. What gets deleted

  • Instagram/Facebook access tokens and connection records
  • Profile, media and insights data received from Meta
  • Auto-DM configuration, keywords, reply templates and message logs
  • Your Oye profile, campaign history and content, if you chose full account deletion

3. What we may retain, and why

We keep only what the law requires: invoices, payout and tax records (TDS) for the statutory period, and records needed to resolve an open dispute or comply with a legal obligation. These are kept apart from your active profile and are not used for any other purpose. Periods are set out in our Data Retention Policy.

4. Timelines and confirmation

Deletion starts as soon as your request is verified. Data is removed from active systems promptly and from backups within 30 days. Where Meta’s Platform Terms require a shorter period for platform data, that period applies. For requests made through Options A and C you receive a confirmation code by email; you can ask for the status at any time by replying with that code.

6. Deletion without the app

You do not need the app installed to request deletion. Email Support@ttlmedia.in from the address registered on your account with the subject line “Delete my data”, or use the grievance process. We verify the request against the contact details held on the account before acting on it, and we will not act on a request we cannot verify. If you no longer have access to the registered email or phone number, say so in the request and we will ask for alternative proof of control of the account.

7. Automated deletion from Meta

When you remove Oye Creators from your Instagram or Facebook settings, Meta sends a signed deletion request to the data deletion callback registered for our app. We process it automatically, delete the platform data associated with your connection, and issue a confirmation code and status URL you can use to check progress. No further action is needed from you.

This route deletes the data we received from Meta. It does not by itself close your Oye Creators account or remove campaign records unrelated to Meta — use Option A above or Section 6 for that.

8. Who else we notify

Where your data has been shared with a processor acting on our behalf — for example the hosting, messaging or analytics providers on the Vendor & Subprocessor List — we instruct them to delete it as part of the same request. Content you published on a social platform stays on that platform and must be removed there; we cannot delete it for you. Where an Enterprise Client holds a copy of campaign content under a licence granted at the time of the campaign, deletion here does not by itself revoke that licence; see the Creators Agreement.

9. If a request is refused

We may decline or defer a request where we cannot verify your identity, where the data must be retained by law, or where it is needed to resolve an open dispute or investigate misuse. If we decline, we tell you why and what you can do next. You may escalate through the grievance process, and you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
